Is it possible to recover documents deleted from the recycle bin. How to recover deleted files and folders from the Windows Recycle Bin. Data recovery on tablets, phones and smartphones running on Android OS

I accidentally deleted a file, and then cleaned the trash can - almost every active user faced such a situation. It is good if information that can be quickly taken from another source turned out to be erased. But what if the data in a single copy turned out to be deleted?

If you did not manage to empty the trash from deleted files, then proceed as follows:

  1. Double click on the "Trash" icon on your desktop.
  2. Highlight the data you want.
  3. Click the "Restore" button.

The deleted files will reappear in the place where they were previously stored. But what to do after emptying the trash can? Can you restore your shopping cart?

Returning information deleted from the basket

Yes, you can even recover deleted files from an emptied Recycle Bin. Special utilities will help to do this, which will find traces of the necessary data and return the lost information to its place. The fact is that in Windows, data is not completely destroyed even after emptying the recycle bin. Only records in the file table are erased, which allows the system to use the freed space to write new information. Until you overwrite the deleted file with new data, there are excellent chances to recover the lost information. The main rule of recovery follows from this:

Do not write new information to the disk from which you want to recover files!

If the deleted data was on the system Windows partition then it is better to extract HDD and connect it to another computer. If the information was stored on a section with files, then do not write anything else on it.

Using the Recuva program

Important: when choosing a location to save files, avoid the media from which they were recovered. Write them to another disk for now to avoid possible data overwriting.

The chances of recovery are increased if there is a green circle next to the file. It says that the data is not damaged or overwritten, which means that it can be returned. A yellow circle indicates that the information has been corrupted, a red color indicates a complete loss of data.

Working with the DMDE utility

If the Recuva program did not help you recover the files you need after removing them from the system, then try another utility for Windows - DMDE. You can download it for free on the official website of the program.

DMDE works without installation - at startup, you just need to select a language and accept the terms of the license agreement. Further steps for data recovery:

You will have to search for the files you need by resolution - doc, png, exe, etc. To return the data, right-click and select "Recover files".

While saving the information, select another medium (not the one from which the recovery was performed) and mark the options "Selected object" and "Only deleted". The user will be notified of a successful recovery using a pop-up window that appears upon completion of the operation.

It often happens that some important files or documents are deleted. This may be due to our carelessness, or maybe the children “kicked”, not understanding what they were doing, but the fact remains and the situation needs to be corrected.

Can I recover deleted files in the Recycle Bin?

When we delete any document, we initially select the file and press the Del key or the right mouse button, and then select the "Delete" tab. After that, a window appears with confirmation of this action, and if the answer is yes - this document is sent to the basket.
The Recycle Bin is a special storage for all files until they are completely emptied, in other words, it is the final frontier. And if the file ends up in the trash, it means that it has not been completely deleted and it will not be difficult to restore it using standard windows tools!

To restore files from the trash can, you just need to go there, right-click on the desired file and select "Restore". After that, the file will be in the place you are used to.
But what if the trash is accidentally emptied? How do I recover files deleted from the recycle bin? Not as difficult as it might seem at first glance, but you will have to grasp the essence.

Programs for recovering files deleted from the recycle bin

First, let's look at popular programs for recovering deleted files from a computer. There are only 6 programs in this category, almost all of them work according to the same algorithm and have an intuitive interface.
Recuva- probably the most popular program on the Internet, allowing you to restore accidentally deleted files.
FileRecovery Is a very powerful program that can not only recover deleted data from the recycle bin, but also return files after an unsuccessful formatting operation.
Recovermyfiles- returns your files from the kingdom of Hades both on the computer and on removable media.
EasyRecoveryPro- a utility that can easily recover data after deletion, formatting and even viruses!
DigitalObjectRescueProthis program is intended mainly for recovering files from mobile phones, video cameras, mp3 players, but will be able to return files on the computer.
RecoveryData- a high-speed program, is in the top user recovery programs!

You can restore deleted files if they are not in the trash can and it is not difficult at all. Let's take a look at how to do this using the power of the Recuva utility. First, check the trash can, if it’s not emptied, if the files have been deleted, download the Recuva program. Install it and run it.

Important! Remember on which section hard disk was the file you deleted that you want to recover. Install this utility on the disk from which you DO NOT need to recover data! Otherwise, the process may fail.

  • As soon as you run the utility, the main window of the program will open in front of you, where there will be a greeting and a short description of the program. We press the button "Next".
  • Now we have a window for choosing a file type. It is very important to choose the right thing to restore, otherwise the program will simply not find the file you need. Check the box next to the desired file type and click "Next".
  • Now you need to specify the former location of the files. If you remember, you can even specify the folder where your documents were located! The narrower the search location is, the faster the files will be found. And again click "Next".
  • I recommend checking the "In-depth analysis" checkbox, but it will take longer to find the file.
  • Press the "Start" button and the file search process has begun. Now we just wait.
  • At the end of the process, a window will automatically open, which will show all the documents found by the program that need to be restored.
  • Select the necessary files with checkmarks and specify the path for recovery.
  • That's all, your documents are saved!

As mentioned earlier, programs have a similar algorithm and interface. So, if you downloaded another utility, you will get confused.

A USB flash drive is not the most suitable device for permanently storing files, but anything can happen in life. And situations when valuable data, which was only on it, were accidentally erased, happen on a regular basis. However, in about half of the cases, grief can be helped by recovering deleted files from a flash drive. Under what circumstances it is possible and how to do it, read on.

I will not give hope in vain: the chances of successful data recovery from USB flash drives are lower than from stationary drives - hard drives of PCs and laptops and permanent memory mobile devices... The reason is that flash drives are usually used to transfer files from one device to another. And accidentally deleted data is most often simply overwritten, sometimes not even once. And rewriting, unfortunately, destroys information irrevocably.

Full or partial file recovery on your own is possible in the following cases:

  • The user deleted them manually.
  • The drive has been formatted using the operating system.
  • The files became inaccessible after a virus attack.
  • Files disappeared after partitioning the flash drive.
  • There was a logical failure of the file system: it has become defined as RAW - unknown, or Windows and programs consider the entire space of the device unallocated.

The chances of recovery are extremely low or zero if:

  • The flash drive is physically defective - it is not detected by the computer at all or is recognized as an unknown device, access to its memory is either completely absent, or the size of the latter is several KB instead of tens of GB. An exception is relatively simple breakdowns that do not affect the controller and device memory.
  • The files have been deleted using a shredder program.
  • The flash drive was either low-level formatted (in fact, it was repartitioned and overwritten) or flashed (underwent a rewriting of the controller microcode).
  • The files are encrypted, but there is no decryption key. It may be the result of an ransomware attack or user actions (encrypted, but lost the key). In the first case, it is sometimes possible to recover files if there is a suitable decryptor.

In case of physical and complex logical malfunctions, data recovery from flash drives is sometimes possible, but often it is very expensive for the owner - up to several tens of thousands of rubles (this may cost not even the result, but an attempt to recover). Therefore, in such situations, many people prefer to say goodbye to files forever.

How to increase the likelihood of success

Even if your case belongs to the category of simple, in order to increase the chances of a successful recovery, adhere to the following rules:

  • The fewer operations were performed with the file system of the drive, the better the result. Therefore, start recovery as soon as you notice the missing files.
  • Save the recovered data only to another physical medium (computer hard drive, second USB flash drive, etc.).
  • Try to restore everything in one session. Do not interrupt it unless absolutely necessary.
  • If one recovery program does not help, use others. Sometimes simple free utilities turn out to be more effective than expensive paid ones. What will help in your case is impossible to know in advance, so try everything that is available.
  • If the recovery program is capable of creating and saving images of the file systems of drives, be sure to use this option. In the event of an unexpected failure of the flash drive or accidental overwriting before the end of reading, you can restore the data from the image.

7 best programs to recover data from flash drives

You may already be familiar with some of the programs for recovering data from mass storage devices. Our site talked about them in an article about. Today our collection will be replenished with seven more applications of the same purpose. Maybe just one of them will be salvation for you.

R.saver

Wise Data Recovery

Wise Data Recovery is another worthy tool for recovering information from stationary and portable drives. Available in Windows version only. Like its predecessors, it works without installing on a hard drive. It features a high scanning speed and displays the ability to restore each found object.

If the file is next to:

  • Red circle - data has been completely overwritten and cannot be restored.
  • Yellow circle - partial rewriting, success is not guaranteed.
  • Green circle - the file is not overwritten and can be restored.

When you click on the "green" files, if it is a picture or a document, the program shows their thumbnails (if saved). It also has a function to search for certain types of data by keywords: images (imagies), audio (audios), video (videos), documents (documents), archives (compressed files) and mail (emails).

Wise Data Recovery is a completely free application and, by the way, supports the Russian language.

How to use Wise Data Recovery:

  • Unpack the archive with the program to any folder and run the WiseDataRecovery.exe executable file.
  • Select the desired media from the list and click “Scan”.
  • Select the files you want to recover in the list. Click the "Recover" button.
  • Specify the location to save the files on your hard disk.

Disk Drill

The Disk Drill utility, familiar to many Mac OS X users, appeared in the Windows version some time ago. More precisely, in two: free - free, and paid - pro. Free allows you to restore up to 1 GB of information, paid - without restrictions.

Unlike the three previous applications, Disk Drill requires mandatory installation on a computer (for which it gets a minus, since this simple operation can overwrite data that the user was just about to recover). But on the other hand, it has a number of usefulness that others do not have.

With continuous use, Disk Drill keeps track of deleted files and also creates them backups, which increases the chances of their recovery even after a while. In addition, it supports all types of storage devices and virtually all file systems (it knows over 300 unique file signatures).

Disk Drill does not have Russian-language localization, but it is quite simple to use it.

How to recover deleted files with Disk Drill:

  • Install the application on your PC and run it with administrator rights.
  • Select the USB flash drive with deleted data from the list of media.
  • Open the drop-down list next to the Recover button, which is located opposite the flash drive, and click the desired scan type: Run all recovery methods, Quick scan, Deep scan ) or “Load last scanning session”. Click the "Recover" button (or "Continue" if you have already started working with the media).
  • In the next window that will open after scanning, select the files you need from the list, specify the location to save them and click "Recover" again.

RS File Recovery

RS File Recovery is a paid Russian-language application. In addition to the main one - recovering information from physical drives, it is able to save and subsequently work with their images. After creating the image, the physical device with the data can be turned off, since the program has already "memorized" all its contents. In addition, the application has a built-in HEX editor for manual byte-by-byte correction of files, as well as an FTP client for uploading the recovered files to network resources.

After analyzing the storage device, RS File Recovery displays information about the data on it - when it was created, when it was changed, and whether it can be recovered. This information is displayed in the lower pane of the window.

Unfortunately, the recovery function does not work in the free demo version of the utility, only preview is available. The cost of a license starts at 999 rubles.

Like Disk Drill, RS File Recovery requires installation on a computer.

How to use RS File Recovery:

  • Run the application. Select a USB flash drive from the list of carriers by simply clicking on it. All its contents, including deleted files, will be displayed in the middle of the window.
  • Click on the object you want to restore. Information about him, including the forecast, will be shown in the panel below.
  • Drag the files you need to the recovery list on the right side of the window and click the "Recover" button.
  • Choose the method of saving: to hard disk, to CD / DVD, to the Internet via FTP, or convert to a virtual ISO.

  • Specify the destination folder on your hard drive. If you choose other save methods, follow the instructions in the assistant.

Ontrack EasyRecovery

Ontrack EasyRecovery is one of the most functional and effective data recovery software, the main competitor of the industry leader R-Studio. It successfully extracts data even from heavily damaged media, supports all types of file systems and more than 250 file formats, creates virtual images of physical storage devices, can boot from DVD and USB flash drives, and also has a lot of other usefulness.

EasyRecovery comes in several paid editions with different feature sets. The cheapest one is home, it will cost the user $ 79 per year. Professional, Enterprise, and Specialty (Server) cost from $ 299 to $ 3000 for an annual license.

Despite the enormity of the possibilities, even a novice user can use this program, since each stage of work is accompanied by a built-in assistant. It is also impossible to make a mistake because it has been completely translated into Russian.

How to use Ontrack EasyRecovery:

  • Run the application (it is released in installation, portable and, as already mentioned, bootable versions). Specify the type of media on which the deleted data is located.
  • Select the volume to scan (if it is a USB flash drive, then, as a rule, there is only one volume on it).
  • Select a recovery scenario. Recovering objects after deleting and formatting are different scenarios. First, try the first one - it works faster, and if it doesn't work, the second one.
  • If the data has suffered as a result of a logical failure, specify one or more types of file systems that may be on the media.

  • Check the conditions again and confirm your choice. After that, the program will start scanning the flash drive.
  • After the end of scanning, select the required objects in the list (to select several, press and hold the Ctrl key). Click the "Save" button in the upper panel of the main window and specify the destination folder on your hard drive.

To create an image of a storage device and work with it in the future, after starting the program, select the device in the list of media, open the "File" menu and click "Create image file".

Active UNDELETE

Active UNDELETE is another paid utility that successfully copes with recovering individual deleted objects and entire disk partitions. Supports all kinds of media, all file systems and over 200 different file formats. In addition to the basic tasks, it allows you to solve related problems - to correct errors in the partition table and boot records, create, format and delete disk volumes, etc. Like the bulk of its paid counterparts, Active UNDELETE supports the creation of virtual images of drives.

The demo version of the program, available for free download, has a full range of functions, but does not allow recovering files larger than 1 Mb.

The Active UNDELETE interface is exclusively in English, but it is easy to use the utility, since every action is accompanied by a wizard.

Unfortunately, she does not have a portable version. Installation only.

How to work with Active UNDELETE:

  • Run the program. Click on “Recover deleted files” in the first window that opens. This will launch the recovery wizard.
  • The first window of the wizard is a brief information on how the program works in English. Click “Next” to go to the next step.
  • Next, select one or more devices on which the files you want are located. Click "Next" and in the next window - "Scan".
  • After scanning, mark the items you want to recover and proceed to the next step.
  • Set the saving options - folder, file names, renaming in case of matches, etc. You can leave everything as default.

  • The last step is the restoration itself. To launch it, click the "Recover files and folders" button.

If you want to create a virtual image of a flash drive, open the "Disk image management" section in the main window and run the "Create disk image" wizard.

And today I would like to highlight the question of how to recover files deleted from the recycle bin. First, let's understand a little about the basic concepts. Everyone knows that before files are completely deleted from the computer, they end up in a certain intermediate system buffer. In the case of operating systems of the Windows family, this area is called the "Recycle Bin". This algorithm is typical not only for Windows; a similar buffer is present in all modern operating systems, including those running on mobile platforms.

All files placed in the trash can remain in it for some time until you empty it yourself. True, a situation may arise in which, due to lack of space, the system will simply overwrite the data with newer ones, without notifying the user. And some operating systems purge files from the intermediate buffer after a certain time. For example, photos on my iPad are temporarily placed in the Recently Deleted album and are stored there for a month. Then they are safely deleted in automatic mode. But let's get back to the question of how you can recover files deleted from the recycle bin?

Recovering files with Recuva

From last issue you already know that deleting files is not immediately erased. The system only deletes the record about them from the file system. Thereafter operating system can safely write to the location of the deleted data. To restore a file, the record about which has been erased from the file system, you need to use the resuscitation program. The Internet offers many options for such recovery programs. From experience I can say that the free program Recuva is quite suitable for such a simple task. It recovers files deleted from the recycle bin in a matter of minutes if they were not overwritten.

Downloading and installing the program

Step 1. Go to the developers site www.piriform.com and in the top menu select the item "Download". In the drop-down list, click "Download Recuva".

Step 2. On the page that opens, we are offered two options for the program. Paid and free. The functionality of the latter is quite suitable for recovering accidentally deleted files from the recycle bin. Click on the first link to FileHippo.com.

Step 3. A new site has opened before us with a big green button "Dowload Latest Version". Just click on it and wait until the installer of the program latest version will download to our computer.

Step 4. We launch the downloaded file and in the first window, using the drop-down list, select the Russian language of the installation. We press "Next". We are waiting for the program to change the language and click "Next".

Step 5. The newly opened window contains many checkmarks. We remove the last one. Let's not load our computer with unnecessary updates. We press "Install".

Step 6. We are waiting for the end of the installation. We uncheck the checkbox of the forced launch and ignore the opportunity to get acquainted with the features of the free version. We press "Finish".

Algorithm for recovering files deleted from the recycle bin

Step 1. For example, I will remove my graduation project from the basket. Hope Recuva can handle it.

Step 2. On the desktop, click on the trash can with the right mouse button and select "Search for deleted files".

Step 3. The program started analyzing the disk. This process does not last long. You just need to wait a little.

Step 4. As soon as the analysis is completed, a new window will open in front of us. In the list of files, we are looking for the one that needs to be restored. I select the document file and press "Restore".

Step 5. In the dialog box that opens, select a location to restore the file. And I press "OK". If the restoration is successful, a corresponding plate will appear on the screen indicating the number of restored objects.

ATTENTION! When restoring, be sure to specify the path to save the reanimated files from the recycle bin to another partition (for example, drive D) or even media (a separate USB flash drive)!

Step 6. Be sure to check the integrity of the restored files. Having opened the diploma, I see that all the tables have remained in place. The formatting of the document is fine and no negative changes have been observed after successful resurrection.

Unfortunately, the recovery process does not always go so smoothly. This is due to the fact that the files could have been deleted too long ago, and the system has already overwritten them with new data. But, as a rule, if you do not delay for a long time, the lost materials can be restored in a matter of minutes. So this summer I was able to recover the video files already deleted from the trash for my first training video. This saved the situation, and the first video appeared, which after half a year gained a thousand views.... If suddenly with the help Recuva programs you could not recover the information, then be sure to try to do it with the programR-Studiofrom the last issue.

I was with you Denis Kurets and the release of an information technology blog site. Today we learned how to recover files deleted from the recycle bin. Subscribe to the update. If you have any questions, you can ask them in the comments. See you in the next issue. All good mood and new knowledge!

class = "eliadunit"> Almost every active PC user sooner or later encounters a problem when any necessary files are accidentally deleted from the hard disk or any other media. If this happened, do not despair. All you need to do is just download a free program to recover deleted files. Currently, a huge selection of such software, both paid and free, is available to the user on the Internet. File recovery software automatically scan the hard drive in search of deleted data and display this information on the screen. In most cases, just one click of the mouse is enough to bring the erased file back to life. Many free apps for data recovery are able to work with several file systems- such as FAT, NTFS, NTFS5 and others. In addition, some programs are capable of recovering deleted files not only on the hard disk, but also, for example, on memory cards. The application will analyze the space of your hard drive and give information about the files being recovered, and upon completion of the work will present a full report on the actions taken. Free software to restore files, they will come to the rescue even if the information you need is on some damaged medium - a CD, floppy disk or flash drive. The chance of recovering a corrupted file is almost always quite high. However, it is worth noting that it is not always enough to download and install a file recovery program for free - if the file you are looking for has already been overwritten by another, then the chance of its recovery is significantly reduced. We have a wide selection of free software. All you have to do is choose and free download program to recover files suitable for your requirements.!
